Service Description
Course Goal The goal of this course is to train law enforcement officers in the safe, lawful, and tactically sound removal of non-compliant, resistant, or combative suspects from vehicles during high-risk encounters. This course emphasizes officer safety, threat recognition, communication, de-escalation tactics, subject control, team coordination, vehicle immobilization techniques, and legally defensible use-of-force applications in dynamic vehicle extraction environments. Key Learning Objectives Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: -Demonstrate safe and tactically sound vehicle extraction techniques for non-compliant, resistant, or combative suspects. -Apply contact-and-cover principles during vehicle stop and extraction operations. Utilize de-escalation and verbal communication tactics to gain compliance when feasible. -Demonstrate weapon-limb control, suspect control, and handcuffing procedures during extractions. -Identify officer safety threats and concealed danger areas associated with vehicle contacts. -Apply lawful and reasonable use-of-force options during vehicle extraction incidents. -Demonstrate techniques for accessing locked or obstructed vehicles safely. -Explain and demonstrate tactical vehicle pinning concepts to immobilize suspect vehicles. -Apply team coordination and communication during multi-officer extraction scenarios. -Successfully perform scenario-based vehicle extraction exercises in realistic operational environments. Equipment Required: Simunition Weapon (optional), 200 rounds handgun, 100 rounds rifle -NLTA-SIMUNITION rounds, assigned duty gear, breaching tools (optional). Course will be taught by lead Valor Trainer Ret. Chief /SWAT Commander Juan Gonzalez.
