Service Description
Course Goal Provide law enforcement officers with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience to safely and effectively conduct manual breaching operations during tactical incidents. Students will develop proficiency in selecting, deploying, and coordinating manual breaching tools while maintaining officer safety, tactical communication, and operational effectiveness. Learning Objectives Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to: -Explain the legal, tactical, and operational considerations associated with manual breaching during law enforcement operations. -Identify the capabilities, limitations, and proper applications of common manual breaching tools, including: Battering rams, Halligan tools, Sledgehammers, Bolt cutters, Pry bars, breaching kits -Conduct pre-breach assessments by identifying door construction, locking mechanisms, hinges, security features, and potential hazards. -Select the most appropriate breaching tool based on target construction, operational objectives, and available resources. -Demonstrate proper body mechanics, grip, stance, striking techniques, and tool handling to maximize breaching efficiency while reducing injury. -Perform inward-opening and outward-opening door breaches using accepted tactical breaching techniques. -Execute padlock, chain, and security-hasp breaches utilizing manual breaching tools. -Integrate manual breaching operations with contact, cover, and security elements during tactical movements. -Deploy effective verbal communication and breacher/team coordination before, during, and after breach operations. -Recognize indicators of breaching success, failure, and when to transition to alternate breaching methods. (Breaching Fortified Doors) -Apply officer safety principles while maintaining weapon awareness, muzzle discipline, and crossfire prevention during breaching operations. -Conduct deliberate and emergency breaching techniques under realistic operational conditions. -Demonstrate breaching procedures while operating under time constraints and elevated stress. -Inspect, maintain, and safely transport manual breaching equipment to ensure operational readiness. -Successfully complete practical breaching exercises demonstrating safe, efficient, and tactically -sound manual breaching techniques. Course Taught By Valor Lead Trainer Ret. Chief Juan Gonzalez & Cadre. Equipment: Duty gear, breaching tools. NLTA (SIM) 50 Rounds.
