Service Description

Course Goal The goal of the Valor SRT CQB Course is to provide law enforcement officers and specialized response personnel with the knowledge, decision-making skills, and practical tactics necessary to operate safely and effectively during close-quarters operations. The course emphasizes CQB fundamentals, coordinated team movement, threat assessment, communication, room and hallway tactics, officer-down response, tactical breaching, and scenario-based application. Training will reinforce disciplined decision-making, weapons handling, accountability, teamwork, and the ability to adapt CQB tactics to rapidly changing law-enforcement situations. Learning Objectives Upon successful completion of this 16-hour course, the student will be able to: -Explain the fundamental principles of law-enforcement CQB, including speed, security, communication, angles, fields of fire, and team coordination. -Demonstrate proper room-entry techniques appropriate to the tactical problem and operational environment. -Conduct threshold and doorway assessments before committing personnel into confined areas. -Demonstrate safe and coordinated hallway movement using appropriate team formations and areas of responsibility. -Apply systematic room-clearing procedures while maintaining security, accountability, and tactical awareness. -Demonstrate effective contact-and-cover principles during CQB operations. -Use clear tactical communication to coordinate movement, identify threats, and communicate changes in operational conditions. -Demonstrate safe weapon handling in confined spaces, including muzzle awareness, trigger discipline, positioning, and management of fields of fire. -Identify, assess, and prioritize potential threats based on behavior, capability, opportunity, and the totality of the circumstances. -Demonstrate post-entry room domination procedures, including security, threat assessment, communication, and follow-on responsibilities. -Perform officer-down rescue procedures while addressing continuing threats and maintaining team security. -Explain and demonstrate the proper role of manual/tactical breaching in support of CQB operations. -Differentiate between deliberate/methodical and dynamic CQB tactics & identify circumstances affecting tactical selection. -Demonstrate coordinated team movement during entries, transitions, hallway operations, and follow Equipment: Duty Gear, Weapon Systems, Shield, 100 NLTA Sim Rounds Handgun | Rifle
