Service Description

Course Description: This 32-hour course will train firearm instructors how to effectively instruct principles of rifle marksmanship, rifle nomenclature, rifle operation, rifle deployment, rifle course design and TCOLE qualification mandates. Emphasis will be placed on the most common patrol rifle platforms and employment in a patrol setting. This instructor course encompasses classroom and range time. Prerequisites: Possess a Basic TCOLE Instructor Certificate of Proficiency | Possess Basic Firearm Instructor Certificate | Completed Patrol Rifle Course or Equivalent Course | Able to demonstrate safe weapons handling during courses of fire. Length of Course: 32 hours minimum . This course meets Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) requirements Patrol Rifle Instructor Course #3323.
