Service Description

Edged Weapons Training for Patrol Officers This 8 hour training course will train patrol officers how to respond to edged weapon threats and attacks. This specialized training is essential for officer safety and effective resolution of dangerous edged weapon encounters. This course will focus on understanding edged weapon threats & attacks, threat awareness & recognition, defensive tactics, weapon identification, de-escalation tactics, contact & cover, proper distance management, use of force options, decision-making under stress, and how to build a combative mindset. This course encompasses classroom, RBTS, and force on force scenarios. This course will be taught by Valor lead trainer | instructor (Ret) Chief/Regional Swat Commander Juan Gonzalez & Valor Cadre Instructors. Prerequisite: Active Law Enforcement Officer. Equipment: Assigned duty and ballistic gear. This is a very physical course. Limited NLTA kits will be available on site.
