Service Description
Valor Basic Instructor Course (TCOLE) Learning Objectives Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to: -Explain the legal, ethical, and professional responsibilities of a Texas law enforcement instructor in accordance with TCOLE standards. -Apply adult learning principles to effectively instruct law enforcement personnel. -Develop measurable lesson plans using approved instructional design principles and performance-based learning objectives. -Develop tactical lesson plans for firearms, SWAT, patrol, and other tactical training programs that comply with TCOLE instructional standards. -Demonstrate effective classroom presentation and communication skills. -Utilize a variety of instructional methods, training aids, and educational technologies to enhance student learning. -Conduct fair and objective written, practical, and performance-based student evaluations. -Apply effective classroom management techniques to maintain a safe, professional, and productive learning environment. -Identify and resolve common instructional challenges while maintaining professionalism and instructional integrity. -Deliver an instructor presentation demonstrating effective teaching techniques, lesson organization, student engagement, and compliance with TCOLE instructional standards. This course will be taught by Lead Trainer Ret. Chief of Police | Swat Commander J. Gonzalez and Valor Instructor Cadre. Equipment: Laptop, Pen and Paper.
