The Two-Officer Patrol Tactics Course (PTC) is primarily designed for patrol officers that respond to calls for service and encounter high-risk tactical dilemmas in approaching vehicles, structures, public areas, and open areas with their limited manpower, resources and equipment. This course will assist officers in reading and reacting to immediate known and unknown vehicle, and structure threats. This is a two-day course aimed to provide officers with the necessary tactics, protocols, and best practices, that will teach them to work with each other in a patrol setting and be able to react and resolve the current threats encounter by law enforcement across the nation. Officers will be trained on how to work with a small team element of officers through practical live-fire, simulated range exercises, and force-on-force scenarios. The goal is to built a survival mindset in responding and resolving deadly encounters. Equipment needed assigned patrol gear, ballistic, patrol shield, ballistic helmets, breaching tools, less lethal, assigned weapon | light systems, 100 rounds handgun, 100 rounds rifle, eye and ear protection, 100 rounds of NLTA and kits for force-on-force scenarios. This course will combine classroom lectures, debriefings, and range exercises to better meet the needs of the students.
