Service Description
The 8-hour supervising patrol critical incidents course is for non-swat personnel. It is primarily designed for patrol supervisors, officers-in-charge, senior officers that respond to calls for service and encounter high-risk critical incidents that result in tactical dilemmas. This course will cover the 5C's of patrol response, 5T's of Swat/SRT team, and the Big4 critical incidents that patrol will respond to: Hostage situations, barricaded suspects-subjects, active shooter threats, and apprehending high-risk criminals. This course will cover the 5 areas of liability for law enforcement agencies as it applies to critical incidents: constitutional law, criminal law, policy, training and experience. This course will patrol supervisors, officers-in-charge, senior officers assist in reading and reacting to immediate known and unknown threats to the public and first responders. This is one-day course is aimed to provide officers in a leadership capacity to control chaos and confusion from the onset of a critical incident with the necessary tactics, protocols, and best practices, that will teach them to work with each other in a patrol setting and be able to react and resolve the current threats encounter by law enforcement across the nation. Equipment needed: pen and paper, department policy on critical incidents.
