Service Description
AXON TASER 7 – LEARNING OBJECTIVES By the end of this course, officers will be able to: -Explain the purpose, capabilities, and limitations of the AXON TASER 7 as a less-lethal control option -Identify legal standards, policy considerations, and liability issues associated with TASER deployment -Demonstrate proper safety rules, handling, loading, unloading, and function checks -Distinguish between probe mode and drive-stun mode, including appropriate application criteria -Demonstrate correct targeting zones, probe spread considerations, and effective engagement distances -Explain neuromuscular incapacitation (NMI) and physiological effects of conducted electrical weapons -Apply pre-deployment verbalization, warnings, and de-escalation principles -Demonstrate safe and effective deployment techniques under stress and movement -Conduct proper post-deployment procedures, including handcuffing, probe removal considerations, and medical assessment -Identify and respond to high-risk populations and environmental considerations -Perform cartridge accountability, evidence handling, and data management requirements -Complete accurate use-of-force documentation and reporting following TASER deployment This course is being taught by LE Axon Taser Instructor Ret.
